Software as a service or SaaS is a distribution model for software wherein a 3rd party provider hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the world wide web. SAAS license essentially means the permission to use SaaS services. SaaS agreements are purely service agreements under which the customer obtains a right of access to the provider’s software services and not a license to or under any intellectual property rights.
