An online ordering merchant agreement is executed when a company enables online order functionality for a merchant either through a website or on the mobile application. This provides merchant’s customers an option to place online delivery orders with the said merchant. Once the customer places an order, merchant shall receive a notification through the application for appropriate action. If accepted, merchant shall be asked to input expected time of delivery and will be responsible for order fulfillment through it’s own delivery staff. In such situations, merchant also has a facility to use delivery facility provided by the company at the cost applicable. These orders are usually serviced on a ‘cash-on-delivery’ basis (“CoD”) and / or through payment wallets.
